Cooperation can be complex;
our job is to make it easier.

Exploring synergies among Interreg IPA and IPA-IPA CBC

Interreg IPA

Interreg IPA and IPA-IPA cross-border cooperation (CBC) programmes face common challenges, including sustainable nature and cultural heritage preservation, resilience to natural and man-made disasters, climate change and the valorisation, protection and conservation of environmental resources.

 In May 2022, Interact, in collaboration with CBIB+3 and with support from DG Regio and DG Near, brought together representatives from Interreg IPA and IPA-IPA CBC programmes financed by the 2021-2027 Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA III). The meeting aimed to raise awareness about these programmes and facilitate an open exchange to identify areas to join forces and scale up capacity building efforts.

 Building on this initial meeting, we invite representatives from Interreg IPA and IPA-IPA CBC programmes to join us for an online workshop. The objectives of this follow-up meeting are:

  • Discuss cross-cutting themes to identify opportunities for collaboration and potential synergies among the programmes;
  • Exchange insights on implementation challenges among Interreg IPA and IPA-IPA CBC programmes to foster mutual learning.

 We extend the invitation to join the online workshop to representatives from Interreg IPA CBC programmes, IPA-IPA CBC programmes and any Interreg programmes supported by IPA funds.

 Please note that this workshop is designed to be interactive, meaning we highly encourage and expect active participation from all attendees throughout its duration.

 Interact together with CBIB+4 will facilitate input through short presentations and offer opportunities for participants to actively engage in discussions and collaborative reflections.

This workshop adopts a bottom-up approach empowering participants to collaboratively decide on topics for further exchanges.
