Network meeting of Interreg cross-border and transnational cooperation programmes in the Baltic Sea Region
The network for Interreg cross-border and transnational cooperation programmes is a platform for programme exchange, mutual learning, and collaborative efforts to build capacity and foster closer synergies across the Baltic Sea Region. Our upcoming in-person meeting will take place back-to-back with the Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region.
The first part of the meeting will focus on the implementation of the current Interreg programmes in our region. Participants will exchange insights on successes and challenges in programme implementation and explore joint initiatives to maximize results and strengthen synergies across the Baltic sea region. The second part of the day will focus on the Post-2027 perspective. This session will explore the future of cooperation in the region, with particular attention to stakeholder feedback and the ongoing discussion about the need for closer synergies between programmes and EU policies. We will reflect on what has worked well and discuss potential improvements to enhance these synergies.
As this meeting is scheduled just before the Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region, we will also seize the opportunity to discuss practical aspects of strengthening collaboration within the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region framework. Additionally, we will set some time to define future priorities for network meetings. Moreover, there will be a great opportunity to network since we plan the future meeting for some time again in online mode. However, the participants that cannot join us in-person, will have the possibility to connect online as well.
