Interreg is enhancing civic and civil society engagement

In January 2024, we announced the publication of Interact's latest study, 'The engagement of civic and civil society in Interreg.' This study presents an analysis of citizen and civil society involvement in Interreg programmes, mapping the current landscape and highlighting ways to enhance this vital engagement.
To support this initiative, Interact is creating a repository of exemplary projects that highlight successful civil society and/or civic engagement. Through this repository, we aim to:
- Share success stories: exchange innovative strategies across Interreg programmes.
- Highlight impact: showcase projects with proven results.
- Boost awareness: increase visibility of Interreg’s mission and activities.
- Encourage engagement: inspire programmes to increase participation from citizens and civil society.
Get involved!
We need your help to identify outstanding projects focused on consultation and engagement levels. Your input will help us label and showcase these projects on keep.eu, ensuring they get the recognition they deserve.
Showcase your success stories!
We are also excited to feature short videos with testimonials from citizens and civil society organizations. These videos will be promoted on interreg.eu and our social media platforms to amplify our outreach and celebrate the positive impacts of Interreg projects.
How you can contribute: If you are willing to contribute or need more information, please send us an email at besiana.ninka@interact.eu, daniela.minichberger@interact.eu and bernhard/schausberger@interact.eu.
Let's join forces to showcase how civic and civil society engagement can drive meaningful change through Interreg!
